ABOUT ME
I am a Virginia-based attorney focusing on estate planning, elder law, and special needs planning. With over 30 years of legal experience, I provide compassionate, clear guidance to families planning for the future.
I am a graduate of Vermont Law School and a member of the Virginia State Bar, District of Columbia Bar Association and the Maryland Bar. I founded The Limjoco Law Firm to offer personalized legal solutions with integrity and care, and to provide families with resources to enable their members to age with dignity.
MY APPROACH
My approach to estate planning and elder law is personal. These areas of the law are about much more than documents and legal terminology. They are about people, families, relationships, and the decisions that matter when life does not go exactly as planned. My goal is to make the process understandable and to help my clients feel confident that their wishes and priorities have been thoughtfully addressed.
I work with clients at many stages of life, from young families putting their first estate plan in place, to individuals planning for retirement, to families facing disability, dementia or the need for long-term care. Whether the need is a comprehensive estate plan, Medicaid long-term care planning, special needs planning, or help navigating an elder law issue, I strive to provide practical advice tailored to each family's circumstances.
WHY I CHOSE THIS PRACTICE
Over the years, I have seen how much easier it can be for families when planning happens before a crisis occurs. I have also seen how overwhelming it can be when a family is suddenly faced with a health or long-term care crisis and does not know where to turn. I have been through many of these issues in my own family, dealing with my parents' aging and my father's journey with dementia/Alzheimer's.
That experience is one of the reasons that I chose to focus my practice on estate planning and elder law. I believe that good planning is about putting the right legal tools and resources in place so that you and your family have choices when you need them the most.
MY MISSION
To provide compassionate, practical legal guidance to individuals and families navigating estate planning, elder law, and long-term care and to preserve their choices, independence and dignity.
